From the Desk of … Antonina Palisano

This week I asked writer Antonina Palisano to share a picture of her desk and answer the age-old question: Messy or clean?

The desk of Antonina Palisano

Cleanish? But with caveatscurrent reading (Virginia Woolf, Lucie Brock-Broido, various lit mags), coffee, post-its, beloved books, other objects & talismans. I like to be in a small, safe space. A thing to note is that I do a lot of my writing longhand, out of the house, & often in a fragmentary form that is manipulated/reconstituted when I sit down at the desk. I also begin the occasional early draft wrapped up in bed& with objectionable posture, hunched over the computer or a notebookbut I think my detailed work happens here. – Antonina Palisano
