From the Desk of … Laura van den Berg

This week I asked Laura van den Berg, author of Find Me and writer-in-residence at Bard College, to share a picture of her desk.

I just moved to Bard College for the spring semester and have temporarily set up shop at this here table. That red and black book is Carol Clover’s Men, Women, and Chain Saws: Gender in the Modern Horror Film. The title is pretty self-explanatory and I’m reading it because I’m working on a new project that tangentially involves horror movies. Last night was my third night in this house and there was a blizzard and I read a section on a thing called “The Terrible Place” and that was not the best idea. – Laura van den Berg
