From the Desk of … Liz Kay

This week I asked poet and novelist Liz Kay to share a picture of her desk and answer the age-old question: Messy or clean?

When it comes to writing, there’s enough of a mess in my head, so I like a clean workspace, a clean desktop, a clean Word document. Most days, I just sit with my laptop in the corner lounge. Today, I’m working through first pass pages of my forthcoming novel, so there’s more stuff to manage, like sticky notes and pencils and actual paper. The organization implied by the presence of sticky notes feels really important right now. – Liz Kay
