From the Desk of … S. Kay

This week I asked microfiction author S. Kay to share a photograph of her desk and answer the question: Messy or clean?

This week I asked poet and MFA candidate Anna Meister to share a photograph of her desk and answer the question: Messy or clean?

Messy and clean, depending on context. Pictured are my laptop and a glass of strawberry-elderflower cordial with soda water, atop a table/desk on my idyllic deck in a Vancouver, Canada suburb. I work there if it’s not raining. Minimalist, it doesn’t get messy because it frequently rains in Vancouver so I keep it cleared off. Displayed on the laptop is my indoor desk. It’s messy, but organized, with themed piles and nooks of documents, projects, and supplies, and a little pink alligator solar robot. The nice thing about that desk is its view out the window, drawing me back outside. S. Kay
