Spencer Printing, founded in 1910, is a small commercial printing company in Northeast PA. We specialize in high quality, quick turnaround projects for small businesses. Several years ago we began to promote our short run book printing capabilities, and it has quickly become our fastest growing (and most favorite) market. We love printing books because of the intimate relationship we develop with our publishing clients. We were already a heavily service oriented business, and printing short runs of books for small publishers has been a perfect fit for us in terms of technology/expertise as well as our customer minded and quality driven sensibility. Besides books, we print a wide variety of printed materials such as marketing collateral, direct mail pieces, wide format signage, magazines and catalogs, and even screen printed t-shirts! Spencer Printing is an old business, rooted in the world of craft and artistry, but we are inspired by technology and the challenge of finding ever better ways of making our customers happy.
Hi! I’m Jessica from Spencer Printing. We’re a small commercial printing company nestled in the mountains of Northeastern, PA. I specialize in our short run book printing.
I absolutely love printing books. I get to work directly with the publishers and authors, the people who have poured their creative selves into these projects. I enjoy being able to make their vision come to life.
Kicking off the week with a photo of my work space. Enjoy!
A sneak peek into digital book production!
Trimming books to the final size leaves a bit of waste. No worries though we are avid recyclers. Sometimes the scraps are even turned into weird little projects.
Here is a weird little recycled paper project. This one hangs in our shop office. The paper wraps are rolled from the interior of book text pages. The center is a die cut snowflake with a sticker honoring Patrick Swayze.
Wrapping up the week with a glimpse at our Heidelberg Windmill Letterpress. Gorgeous machine that produces beautiful prints! Its always a treat when we get to use this.
