Instagrammers-in-Residence: tNY.Press

If you look  at tNY.Press’ “About” below, you’ll understand that they’re sexy. It’s true. The sexy is all over their book covers, posters, and pretty much everything they publish. Well we wanted some of that magic, too. Which is why we got them to post for us this past week. They most definitely did not disappoint. Check it out:

tNY.Press (formerly theNewerYork) is an experimental literary publisher, shrugging off traditional forms of fiction in favor of the new. We publish a pocket-sized, full color, meticulously designed lit mag called Shrug mag three times a year (Subscribe here). We post stories and art daily on theEEEL.com. You can hire us to design your book covers because our shit is sexy and we want yours to be sexy too

Whoops i forgot to tell you all what we do. These are some issues of our magazine above. @tNYPress is me (Josh Raab), Megan Willoughby, Chuck Young, Steve Vermillion, Nils Davey, Melissa McDaniel, Michelle Favin, Eric Boyd, Max Miroff, and Christopher Morgan. We opened for submissions 5 years ago asking for no short stories and no poetry. Since then, we’ve been publishing a steady stream of fictional Craigslist posts, lists, recipes, astrological readings, fake reviews of fake books, contracts, and other worded weirdness. We publish a magazine called The Shrug, originally funded on Kickstarter, but now available for subscriptions (https://tny.press/subscribe). We also put out single author print books by people like Bob Schofield and John Mortara and Rich Ives and soon, S. Kay. We post stories and art daily at theEEEL.com and we also design books and book covers for hire. We used to be called theNewerYork but then The New Yorker threatened us and now we are just tNY.Press and the tNY stands for absolutely nothing. Hope you like our pictures over the next week as we try to make sitting at a desk all day G-chatting look interesting.
