Spell to Be Better at Parties

Spell to Be Better at Parties

Dear Eva,

I always want to go to parties, but I end up not going, because when I go I just feel awkward. Can you give me a spell that will help me be better at parties?

Party On

Dear Party On,

Thank you for your email. Sorry it’s taken me awhile to respond. To be honest, I’ve been feeling pretty down. I keep trying to ignore it, but it’s just not working. It’s like this dead inside feeling but not dead enough to keep me from being terrified all the time. Have you ever been too scared to get out of bed in the morning? Because I have. Mostly I get up anyway, but maybe that’s the wrong idea. I keep thinking it’s just my career I’m worried about, but it’s more than that — it’s like I’m waiting for some unseen telephone pole to fall and smash my skull into a million pieces. I’ve tried eating potato chips, and I’ve tried watching Grey’s Anatomy, and I’ve tried reading novels. Actually, I’ve read four-hundred pages in the past three days, and I’ve watched five seasons of television in the past two weeks, and I’ve eaten so much while trying to feel something that now I finally do — nauseous and at least three pounds heavier. With this void inside me, you’d think I’d be light, but I’m not; I’m heavy, because there isn’t an absence; there’s a presence; I’m full of a bunch of shit I don’t want to face, so now I’m looking everywhere except at myself, but inhabiting a vacant body makes the world pretty damn overwhelming. I dunno, maybe I’ll never feel better. Because let’s be really honest, this place is goddamn sad. People keep dying, and here we are, sweaty and full of blood, and it’s just gonna keep pumping through our veins, even though we never gave it permission.

Anyway, I hope you have fun at your party.

Magical spells are a great resource for many everyday problems. Get in touch & I’ll cook something up for you.
